Question 1

Are you insured and bonded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Atlantic Maids carries full liability and bond insurance, and a certificate validating the insurance is available on request.

Question 2

Must I be at home when you clean?

Accepted Answer

No. Customers can leave a key and, if needed, an alarm code with the office, or leave a key in a safe place for each visit. Giving Atlantic Maids a key and alarm code is the most efficient, problem-free option.

Question 3

How do you protect my keys?

Accepted Answer

Keys are kept in a locked key storage device that only Atlantic Maids managers can access. A key is issued to the team leader on cleaning day and returned to the secured container afterward. Atlantic Maids is insured for key replacement and re-keying if a key is ever lost.

Question 4

How many people will clean my home?

Accepted Answer

Cleanings are typically done by a two-person team, since two-person teams let each cleaner focus on a specific task. Depending on the schedule, an additional person may be added to meet demand.

Question 5

Will I always have the same team?

Accepted Answer

Yes, customers keep the same team for recurring cleanings, barring special circumstances such as vacations or staff time off.

Question 6

Are teams trained and supervised?

Accepted Answer

Team members are trained before entering a customer's home and receive ongoing training on new products and methods. Each team has a Team Leader, managers make periodic visits, and a dedicated staff member handles quality assurance and training.

Question 7

Do I need to provide my own cleaning products?

Accepted Answer

No. Atlantic Maids arrives in a company-marked vehicle with its own eco-friendly cleaning products and equipment, safe for children and pets. Customers who prefer their own supplies can leave them out to be used instead.

Question 8

What type of cleaning products do you use?

Accepted Answer

Atlantic Maids uses Green Seal approved branded products from established suppliers, including Procter & Gamble, Eco Lab, and Daycon.

Question 9

Is your work guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all work is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If a customer is unsatisfied, calling the office within 24 hours of the cleaning gets that area re-cleaned at no additional charge.

Question 10

How do I pay for your services?

Accepted Answer

First-time customers pay in advance online via PayPal to reserve an appointment. Recurring customers can pay by cash, check, or credit card, and Atlantic Maids offers Auto Pay with a card on file for automatic payment on service day.

Question 11

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Atlantic Maids asks for two business days' notice to cancel or skip a scheduled cleaning. Without that notice, or if the team can't access the home on the scheduled day, 50% of the regular cleaning rate is charged.

Question 12

What happens if someone damages something in my home?

Accepted Answer

Atlantic Maids is fully bonded and insured, with liability limits set at ten times the cost of a regular service charge. Damage must be reported within 24 hours of service, and claims require receipts; items such as cash, jewelry, art, antiques, and electronics are typically excluded from coverage.
